At Rameshwaram Cabs, we understand that travel plans can sometimes change unexpectedly. Our Refund and Cancellation Policy explains the terms that apply when you cancel, modify, or request a refund for a cab booking made through RameshwaramCabs.in.

1. Cancellation Policy

1.1 Cancellation by the Customer

If you need to cancel your cab booking, please contact us as early as possible. Refund eligibility depends on how much notice is provided before the scheduled pickup time.

  • More than 24 hours before pickup: You may be eligible for a full refund of the booking amount, excluding any applicable payment processing or transaction fees.
  • Between 12 and 24 hours before pickup: You may be eligible for a refund of up to 50% of the booking amount.
  • Less than 12 hours before pickup: The booking amount will generally be non-refundable.

Special bookings, customised tour packages, Tempo Traveller bookings, multi-day trips, or reservations made during peak travel periods may have different cancellation terms. Any such conditions will be communicated at the time of booking wherever applicable.

2. Cancellation by Rameshwaram Cabs

In rare circumstances, we may need to cancel a confirmed booking due to vehicle unavailability, driver emergencies, operational issues, safety concerns, or other unexpected circumstances.

If we cancel your booking and are unable to provide a suitable alternative vehicle or travel arrangement, you will be eligible for a full refund of the amount paid to us for the affected booking.

If a trip cannot proceed because of circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as severe weather, natural disasters, strikes, road closures, government restrictions, public emergencies, or similar events, we may offer to reschedule your journey or provide a refund where appropriate.

3. Refund Policy

Approved refunds will generally be processed within 7 business days from the date of approval.

Where possible, refunds will be credited to the original payment method used for the booking. Actual processing times may vary depending on your bank, UPI provider, payment gateway, card issuer, or other financial institution.

Payment processing fees, transaction charges, or other non-refundable third-party fees may be deducted from the refund amount where applicable.

Once a journey has started, cancellation at the customer's request will generally not qualify for a full refund. Any refund in such circumstances will depend on the distance travelled, services already provided, expenses incurred, and the specific conditions of the booking.

4. No-Show Policy

Customers are expected to be available at the confirmed pickup location at the scheduled time.

If a passenger does not arrive or cannot be contacted within 30 minutes of the scheduled pickup time, the booking may be treated as a no-show and cancelled without a refund.

Additional waiting charges may apply if the driver is required to wait beyond the agreed complimentary waiting period.

For airport, railway station, or bus stand pickups, waiting time conditions may vary depending on the booking arrangement and arrival delays.

5. Booking Modification Policy

Customers may request changes to their booking, including changes to the:

  • Travel date.
  • Pickup time.
  • Pickup location.
  • Destination.
  • Route or itinerary.
  • Vehicle category.

All modification requests are subject to vehicle availability and operational feasibility. Additional charges may apply if the revised journey involves a different route, additional distance, extra waiting time, a higher vehicle category, or other changes to the original booking.

We recommend requesting modifications as early as possible.

6. Early Termination of a Trip

If a passenger chooses to end a journey before reaching the originally booked destination, the amount already paid may be non-refundable.

Any applicable refund will be determined based on the services already provided, distance travelled, driver expenses, vehicle allocation, and other costs incurred for the booking.

7. Delays and Missed Connections

Rameshwaram Cabs makes reasonable efforts to provide timely pickups and reliable travel services. However, we cannot guarantee exact arrival or journey completion times due to circumstances beyond our control, including traffic congestion, weather conditions, road closures, accidents, vehicle breakdowns, government restrictions, or other unexpected events.

We are not responsible for missed flights, trains, buses, appointments, hotel reservations, or other connections resulting from such delays, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

Customers are encouraged to allow sufficient additional travel time when travelling to airports, railway stations, or other time-sensitive destinations.

8. Force Majeure

Rameshwaram Cabs will not be held responsible for cancellations, delays, service interruptions, or failure to provide services caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

Such events may include natural disasters, floods, cyclones, severe weather, strikes, protests, road closures, government restrictions, public emergencies, pandemics, or other extraordinary circumstances.

In such situations, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the booking, arrange an alternative where possible, or provide an appropriate refund depending on the circumstances and expenses already incurred.

9. How to Request a Cancellation or Refund

To cancel or modify a booking or request a refund, please contact us using the contact details provided below. You may be asked to provide your booking details, passenger name, travel date, phone number, payment information, or other relevant information required to identify your reservation.

Refund requests are subject to verification and the terms outlined in this policy.

10. Changes to This Policy

Rameshwaram Cabs may update this Refund and Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, booking procedures, pricing practices, or legal requirements.
